He's just champion! Carl Frampton's delight at arrival of first son
The gentlest of touches from one of our most famed fighters.
This was the intimate picture our world champion boxer Carl Frampton released after welcoming his first son to the world.
Little Rossa tipped the scales at six pounds and 15 ounces after his birth on Monday evening.
Delighted Carl tweeted a message of love to his wife Christine yesterday, saying: "Thank you @XtineDorrian for my beautiful baby boy. You and all the other mothers are absolute heroes!"
He has since been busy getting reacquainted with the delights of caring for a newborn, joking on Twitter that not even baby wipes can clean some of the goo off.
Congratulations have flooded in for the parents on the new little brother for their three-year-old daughter Carla.
Olympic boxing champion Paddy Barnes was among those who echoed congratulations tweeted by Carl's trainer Shane McGuigan.
The popular couple married last October, several years after meeting in Kelly's nightclub in Portrush.
Carl, also known as the Jackal, wowed his home city earlier this year by winning his world title in a clash with Kiko Martinez at a specially constructed outdoor arena at the Titanic slipway, Belfast.
