Horrific first photos of Derrylin fire tragedy that claimed lives of four people

Horrific photos taken on Monday reveal the shocking aftermath of a ferocious blaze of a home that killed four people.

Three generations of the same family-including a baby and two teenagers were killed in the fire which engulfed their Derrylin home on February 27.

They have been named as Edward Gossett (16), his sister Diane Gossett (19), their mother Crystal Gossett believed to be in her 40s, and Diane's young daughter, who it's thought was under the age of two.

All that remains of the home on Molly Road is the shell of the building.

The only items visible are a few scorched children's toys and books.

Neighbours battled in vain to reach the family only to be held back by the flames.

Daniel Allen (27), of Molly Road in Derrylin has been charged with the murder of the four family members.

It is believed the deceased were originally from Doncaster in England, and had lived in Tralee in Co Kerry for about three years before moving to Derrylin around 18 months ago.
