Hunt on for knife-wielding supermarket robbers

Police in north Down are appealing for information after a supermarket was robbed by two men, one of them carrying a knife.

The armed robbery was carried out at the store in the Bridge Street area of Donaghadee at around 8.40pm on Sunday when the pair walked in brandishing the weapon.

The PSNI said they managed to obtain a sum of cash before fleeing the scene. No-one was injured in the incident.

One of the men is described as being in his late 20s, and was wearing a black coat, yellow scarf, white gloves and dark blue jeans with a rip in the knee.

His accomplice is described as being in his late 40s, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, and was wearing a dark jacket, a blue hooded top, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms and blue gloves.
