'I put in a lot of work to get my results... I didn't expect to get A* in Further Maths'

Going to:
Liverpool University to study Occupational Therapy.
She said: "I needed three Bs to get into Liverpool University so I am delighted I got that and more.
"I am going to do a degree in Occupational Therapy specialising in paediatrics.
"I have always wanted to do a job where I would be working with children but nursing wasn't really an option I considered. I am so excited to be able to pursue the career of my dreams."
Amy Powell (18) A-levels:
Geography (B), English (C), Politics (A).
Going to: Queen's University Belfast to study Geography.
She said: "I feel great about my results. I had a bad year last year but I have pulled it out of the bag. I am going to study Geography at Queen's University. I am delighted I have been accepted because I didn't want to move away to study."
Emily Breslin (18) A-levels:
Politics (B), Geography (B), Religion (B).
Going to: Liverpool University to study Geography.
She said: "I am so proud of myself, I am absolutely buzzing that I stuck out the past two years. I have been accepted by Liverpool University to study Geography - a subject I love."
Sofya Dobrynina (18) A-levels:
Chemistry (A), Physics (A*), Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), French (A*).
Going to: St Andrew's to study Physics.
She said: "I had to study a lot of hours to get those grades and I am very happy with them. I wasn't expecting to get an A* in Further Maths."
