Inside the £6.7m luxury Florida pad Rory McIlroy now calls home
It was always going to take a special pad to make Rory McIlroy leave his home in Moneyreagh – and now we can see it for ourselves.
Florida is now the place the two-time Major golf winner calls home, and the 24-year-old has just thrown open the doors to the fabulous mansion he shares with his partner, Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
The asking price – a cool £6.7m – was no problem for the man who recently signed a sponsorship deal with Nike that could ultimately be worth £100m.
Complete with swimming pool, games room and gym, it has virtually everything the world's top sporting couple could wish for.
But Rory, who is busy defending the USPGA title he won so spectacularly last year, insisted he would never forget his Northern Ireland roots.
"Walking through the door, I'm thinking I actually can't believe I live in a place like this considering how I grew up and how hard my mum and dad worked for me and how little we had in comparison to all of this," he said. "I really appreciate it and it's something that I definitely don't take for granted."
