By Staff Reporter

Cold Feet star James Nesbitt has opened a new £5.1 million sports complex at the Ulster University's Coleraine campus.

Nesbitt, chancellor of the institution, said: "Ulster University has a proud tradition of sport at its Coleraine campus. It is the training base for Coleraine Football Club and its successful academy, and every Saturday we host hundreds of young footballers as part of the Harry Gregg Foundation."

The development is designed to further the university's commitment to creating thriving sporting communities at grassroots, amateur and professional levels in a wide range of sports - from golf and rowing to Gaelic football and surfing.
