Jennifer Saunders' tears in Fermanagh

There were tears as the final wrap wound up filming for a six-part comedy series based at historic Crom Castle in Fermanagh.

Actors , David Walliams and Timothy Spall have been at Lord Erne’s home in Newtownbutler filming the BBC series alongside Harry Potter actor Mark Williams and singer Paloma Faith who also star in the new comedy show Blandings, adapted from the novels of PG Wodehouse.

“When the director shouted “that’s a wrap” for the final time, there were tears to tell you the truth. That was the final and the end of a busy eight weeks. The crew, the actors and staff at Crom were emotional,” Crom Castle manager, Noel Johnston told the Impartial Reporter.

“Jennifer was very emotional when she left.

"She said she had never worked in such beautiful surroundings; she loved the people and said it was an amazing place,” he said, adding both David and Timothy had expressed hearty gratitude for the hospitality they had been shown during the shoot.
