Police have appealed for information after money and jewellery were stolen during a burglary at a house in Omagh.

It was reported to police at 11.15pm on Wednesday evening that access had been gained to the house in the Sperrin View area between 7.30pm and 11pm.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives in Omagh on 101, quoting reference number 2154 of 26/09/19," Detective Constable Caroline Crawford said.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
