Jewellery, engagement ring and wedding band stolen in Ballynahinch burglary

A large amount of jewellery, an engagement ring and a wedding band have been stolen from a house in Ballynahinch.

Entry was forced to a rear window of the property in the Kinedale Park area on Saturday between 7pm and 9pm.

Detective Constable McKeever said: "These items are of a great sentimental value to the homeowner. The victim in this was instance was an older lady and I am seeking the public’s help in recovering the items for them.

"I am appealing for anyone who has seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area last night, anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale or anyone with information to contact 101 quoting reference number 1646 16/12/2017. 

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
