Jewellery, handbags and cash stolen in Bangor burglary

Jewellery, handbags and cash have been stolen during a burglary in Bangor.

Burglars forced entry to the property in the Killaire Road area between 8am and 9am on Thursday.

A substantial amount of jewellery, handbags and cash were stolen.

Detective Sergeant Bell said: "I would urge the public to remain vigilant in the run-up to Christmas ensuring that they report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood and ask that anyone with information relating to this burglary contact 101 quoting reference 1307 of 14/12/17.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
