Jewellery stolen after house ransacked in Newtownabbey


Jewellery has been stolen after a house was ransacked in Newtownabbey.

Police are appealing for information following the report of a burglary in the Knockane Way area on Tuesday, June 9.

Sometime between 1.45pm and 5.00pm a house was entered and ransacked.

A quantity of jewellery was stolen.

Detective Inspector David Skelly said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to contact Police at Newtownabbey on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
