Jonathan Rea: Three-time world champion receives MBE at Buckingham Palace
Northern Ireland's motorcycling star Jonathan Rea has received his MBE at Buckingham Palace.
In September, Rea became the first rider ever to secure a hat-trick of successive World Superbike titles.
The 30-year-old from Ballyclare was presented with his honour by the Duke of Cambridge Prince William at Buckingham Palace.
Triple World Superbike champion, Rea was honoured in the Queen's birthday honours list for his services to motorcycle racing.
Speaking to the BBC, Rea said said his love of motorcycles had been put "on the backburner" because of his family, and that Prince William was a "bit of a motorcycle fan himself".
