June trial for man accused of murdering wife

A Portadown man accused of murdering his wife has been formally returned for trial in June.

Suzanne Harper’s body was discovered by police in the couple's home at The Manor, off the Brownstown Road in the town.

Father-of-three Christopher Harper (45) was arraigned at Craigavon Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to his 40-year-old wife's murder on August 20, 2010.

Mr Harper, whose address was given as Abercorn Park, Portadown, remained silent, save to confirm his name and to make his plea.

Defence lawyer Martin O'Rourke said that a psychiatric report was being obtained.
