Just Born: Aria hits all the right notes for Scott family
Astra and Julian Scott from Dromore are celebrating the birth of their daughter Aria.
Aria Rose Scott weighed 6lb 8oz and measured 47cm when she was born at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald on March 16 at 6.07am.
Autism support worker Astra (24) and Julian (29), an assistant manager, were thrilled to welcome a second daughter into the world.
"I couldn't believe how perfect and beautiful she was," Astra said.
"I just saw her and it was instant and unconditional love.
"She looks like her big sister. She is the spitting image of her."
Felicity, who is nearly two, is enjoying the new addition to the family.
"She is great," Astra said. "She is helping me change nappies and is always looking in the Moses basket at her. She has been fantastic."
Astra praised staff at the Ulster Hospital.
"The were fantastic," she said.
"The midwives were so supportive of my choices and stuck to my birth plan.
"I couldn't have asked for a better midwife in Sandra. She was great and Caroline was in with us too. They were both brilliant."
The Scotts' home has been busy with visitors and they have received countless messages of congratulations and well wishes.
"Thanks to everyone for all the lovely presents for Aria and Felicity," Astra said.
