This is the eye-catching artwork to promote an environmental campaign running next month.

It was designed by Sean Corcoran for Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful's annual Clean Coasts Week, using the wave from the Clean Coasts logo as inspiration.

More than 30 activists were joined by locals on the beach at Groomsport near Bangor for a community effort. Equipped with wild bamboo sticks and garden rakes, the volunteers scoured the outline of a giant spiral in the sand which they filled with the shapes of hearts and bubbles.

They then completed a beach clean-up to ensure everyone could enjoy the artwork litter-free.

Sean said he was inspired to create sand art six years ago while sitting on a cliff overlooking the sea, watching a horse led by a rope pull a trailer through the sand.
