Knife brandished in off-licence robbery

By Staff Reporter

Two workers in a north Belfast off-licence have been left shaken after they were threatened with a knife during a robbery.

It happened at an off-licence on the Antrim Road on Saturday night. At 8.30pm two men wearing snoods pulled around their noses and hoods up over their heads entered the premises.

One of the men produced a knife, and lunged towards a member of staff jabbing the knife in her direction.

The second man removed a sum of money and receipts from the till.

Both were challenged by a male member of staff as they made off, one of the men then produced the knife again. They made off on foot. Neither member of staff was injured, however they were left very badly shaken.
