Knifeman robs Magherafelt filling station

Police in Magherafelt are appealing for information after a petrol station was robbed by a knife-wielding man.

The robbery happened at the business in the Church Street area on Tuesday.

Just before 8pm, a male entered the station and demanded money. He made off with a sum of cash and is believed to have headed in the direction of the town centre.

The robber is described as being 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top, black bottoms, black gloves and black footwear.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact CID at Magherafelt police station.
