Laptops stolen from van

Brazen thieves have stolen two laptops and 21 mobile phones from a delivery van.

The theft occurred on Wednesday, June 2 at around 9.45am in the Donegall Place area.

A white Mercedes Sprinter van which was delivering goods to business premises had been left locked and secure but when the driver returned a short time later he discovered the padlock had been removed.

A plastic box which contained two new boxed laptops and 21 new boxed mobile phones was taken.

Police in south Belfast are appealing for information and would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have noticed two men in the area. The first is described as being in his mid 30s, of medium build with short dark hair. He had a moustache and was wearing a blue jumper along with blue trousers.

The second man is in his mid 20s, of medium build with short dark hair and was wearing blue track suit bottoms.
