Larne arson attack causes 'extensive damage' to house

Two cars were set alight outside a house in Larne causing "extensive damage" to the property.

The arson attack took place at Magee Park in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said "both cars were destroyed and the house extensively damaged as a result of the fire, which was put out by firefighters."

Detective Sergeant Pete Crothers said: "Police were contacted at around 3.20am and informed that a silver Peugeot 407 and a white Audi A4 had been set alight outside a house in Magee Park.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact detectives in Larne on 101 quoting reference number 325 10/09/17, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
