Lazy Sunday afternoon in sun... but clouds are gathering on horizon

By Michelle Smyth

Make the most of the weather the next couple of days because the sunshine is set to go into hiding come Wednesday.

Last week gave us some of the loveliest weather we've experienced so far this year, with highs of 25C in places like Derrylin in Fermanagh.

People flocked to local beauty spots such as Helen's Bay and Murlough Beach in Co Down, where temperatures reached 21C at the weekend.

However, Today and tomorrow look set to be the best days of this week as the Met Office has confirmed that an area of low pressure coming in from the Atlantic will cause temperatures to dip.

Met Office forecaster Ian Robinson said: "Monday and Tuesday won't be too bad at all, with temperatures reaching 21C in some places in the south east.

"Moving towards the end of the week, it will be more cloudy with outbreaks of rain with temperatures of around 16C."
