Liam Neeson is among the stars attending this year's BFI London Film Festival.

The 12-day celebration of cinema is in October and will showcase films including the world premiere of Peter Jackson's They Shall Not Grow Old, marking the centenary of the First World War.

Famous names attending the event include directors the Coen Brothers, and the Ballymena actor, Keira Knightley and Olivia Colman.

Headline galas include the UK premiere of The Favourite.

The Coen Brothers return to the festival with the UK premiere of The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs, a "touchingly melancholic study of the American West".

Beautiful Boy chronicles a family coping with addiction, and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, starring Melissa McCarthy, is the true crime story of best-selling celebrity biographer Lee Israel.

The 62nd BFI London Film Festival runs from October 10 to 21.
