Almost 2,500 homes in Lisburn are without power due to 'equipment failure' on Northern Ireland Electricity's transmission network.

Power is expected to be restored by 1am Tuesday.

An NIE spokesman said: "A repair team has been assigned and will be on its way as soon as possible.

"The fault is due to equipment failure."
