Lisburn Road travel agency robbed by men armed with knives

Two men armed with knives have robbed the Thomas Cook travel agency on the Upper Lisburn Road in south Belfast.

Shortly before 3.45pm, two armed men entered the premises and demanded cash from staff.

The pair made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Grangeville Gardens. Members of staff were not injured during te incident, however police say they were left badly shaken by their ordeal.

One of the men is described as being approximately 5'9"-5"10 tall and was wearing a blue hooded jacket, white t-shirt, black track bottoms and a beanie hat.

The second men is described as wearing a black top, black track bottoms and a black peaked beanie hat.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist the investigation to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on 101, quoting reference 746 of 15/02/17.
