Little Miss NI Tori is guided by her beautiful heart

By Joanne Sweeney

When it comes to combining good looks and a good heart, Tori Crawford (10) takes first prize.

The Belfast girl was recently crowned Little Miss Northern Ireland 2015 in her first beauty pageant entry.

She is hoping to use her title to raise money for two charities, Autism NI and Heartbeat.

Mum Carrie Crawford Wilson explained: "Tori's three brothers have autism. Cole is five and has autism and asthma. Carson is six and has autism, ADHD and learning difficulties. My eldest, Lewis, who is 11, has a heart condition known as aortic valve stenosis and regurgitation and will require a valve replacement.

"So Tori herself has decided to hold a sponsored walk to raise money for these charities and wants to hold an event for children with learning difficulties."

Belvoir Park Primary school student Tori was one of 20 girls out of 230 entries to take part in the contest. She will compete in the UK final in Glasgow next year.

Other winners at the pageant at Stormont Hotel included two-year-old Aaliyah Haddock from Belfast, who won Miss Mini Northern Ireland 2015, and Keri McAllister (6) who won Miss Petite Northern Ireland 2015.
