Little Oscar Knox shows signs of improvement

Oscar Knox — the brave four-year-old fighting a rare form of cancer — has been showing signs of improvement and is sitting up in bed after a number of health setbacks.

The Belfast boy has neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer.

Last week Oscar travelled to Philadelphia with parents Stephen and Leona for potentially life-saving treatment.

But it was discovered Oscar had a serious heart condition, meaning he couldn’t undergo the planned immunotherapy.

Then, last weekend, one of his lungs collapsed. But ‘Wee Oscar’ — whose courage has captured the public’s heart — refuses to give up. Despite being critically ill just days ago, Oscar has been pictured on his Twitter page — which has almost 22,000 followers — sitting and standing.

“Oscar feeling great again this morning, as you can clearly see!” his parents tweeted.

Dad Stephen said Oscar could possibly return home next week by air ambulance if well enough.
