Locked-up OAPs still shaken by theft ordeal

Three elderly sisters have been left shaken after they were locked up while their home was robbed by thieves.

The sisters, aged 78, 76 and 70, were targeted by the thieves at their Clooney Road home in Tobermore, Co Londonderry, on Monday. Police said four men entered the women’s home around 10pm and rounded them up before ransacking the house.

It wasn’t clear last night what the masked raiders made off with.

Magherafelt UUP councillor George Shiels, slamming the thieves, said: “It’s terrible |that elderly people are targeted like this. I hope the police get |the people who did this out of commission.”
