All eyes in Bangor were yesterday on a luxury superyacht which dropped anchor off the coast.

The multi-million pound Flying Manta comes complete with its own helipad - perfect for the super rich jetsetter looking to come ashore for some shopping or sightseeing.

The vessel, which according to reports had recently been spotted off Co Cork in the Republic, can accommodate up to 18 people, inlcuding a personal chef and four other crew members.

With a top speed of 24 knots, the 42m super yacht can be chartered privately for an eye-watering price of around £72,000 for a week.

Boasting five luxurious rooms, the superyacht, built in Australia in 2004, later undergoing a major refit in 2013.

It also offers eight cabins, comprising a master suite, five double cabins, one twin cabin and one Pullman bed.
