Major delays after lorry gets stuck under bridge in Lisburn

A lorry has become stuck under a railway bridge in Lisburn, leading to huge tailbacks.

It happened on Wednesday afternoon in the Antrim Street area of the city, causing serious traffic disruption in the area during the lunchtime period.

The PSNI advised motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

The road was reopened at around 2pm after structural engineers carried out an assessment of the bridge.
