Motorcyclist killed and pillion passenger seriously injured in Newry crash
A male pedestrian has been killed after he was hit by a car in Cookstown.
He has been named as 26-year-old Stephen Wilkinson, from the Ardboe area.
Mr Wilkinson was killed after he was hit by a Ford Focus car shortly before 3.30am on Sunday morning. The 26-year-old male driver of the car has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
Chapel street was closed to traffic and has since reopened.
It's the second fatal crash this weekend.
A male motorcyclist died in a crash in Newry on Saturday evening. The man was aged in his 40s and his female pillion passenger was injured in the crash - she remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The crash between the bike and another vehicle happened on the Tandragee Road at around 7pm.
In another incident the emergency services attended another serious incident on the Whitesides Road in Ballymena at around 9pm on Saturday involving a tractor.
There are no further details. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact investigators on 101.
