Man (20) shot in both legs in Belfast attack - resident says she heard screaming in the night

A 20-year-old man has been shot in both legs in an attack in west Belfast.

It happened in the Ardmonagh Parade area in the west of the city at around 10.30pm on Thursday.

Police swarmed to the scene shortly after the incident.

The man was rushed from the scene to hospital by ambulance. His condition is unknown.

Police remained at the scene late into the night on Thursday bringing residents out to the street.

One woman told the Belfast Telegraph she did not hear the shooting but was awoken from her sleep by screaming.
