Man (23) charged over theft of ATM at Nutts Corner

A 23-year-old man was arrested in the Antrim area today by detectives investigating the theft of an ATM at Nutts Corner on Tuesday 30/04. He has been arrested on suspicion of theft, criminal damage and arson and he remains in custody at this time.
The suspect is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday.
Detective Inspector Richard Thornton said: “We have made a total of five arrests in connection with this incident and this is the third man to be charged to court in relation to it. I am very pleased with the progress that we are making in our investigations into the ATM thefts and we will continue to do all we can to catch those responsible.
“I would continue to ask the public to let us know if they see anything suspicious, including seeing any unusual activity, people or vehicles loitering in areas close to ATMs. If you hear machinery late at night or in the early hours please call us on the non-emergency number 101 or 999 if you think a crime is in progress.
