Man (30) is shot twice in the leg in east Belfast

A man has been shot twice in the right leg in east Belfast.

Police received a report that a 30-year-old man had been shot in Strandburn Drive shortly after 7.30am yesterday.

A PSNI spokesman said: "The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Police would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact CID at Musgrave on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
