Man (51) charged with attempted murder after incident in Armagh

A 51-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon after an incident in Armagh.

The charge relates to an incident in the Brookhill Crescent area of the city on Saturday when a man aged in his 50s sustained an injury to his neck.

The suspect will appear at Newry Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The Public Prosecution Service is to review the charges.
