Man (56) charged with terrorism offences following searches in west Belfast
A man arrested by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force in west Belfast has been charged with a number of terrorism-related offences.
The 56-year-old man, arrested on Friday following searches in the Turf Lodge area on Thursday, has been charged with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of articles for use in terrorism, possession of property for use in terrorism and support of a proscribed organisation.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 5th August. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been released unconditionally.
