Man (60s) killed and two injured in horror Northern Ireland crash

A man aged in his 60s has died in a road crash near Coleraine.

The two-car crash happened on the Quilly Road between Coleraine and Articlave on Friday just before 10am.

It involved a white Volkswagen Passat and a grey Volkswagen Polo and both were left severely damaged in the crash.

Two other men have been taken to hospital following the collision to be treated for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.

The road has been reopened to traffic.

Inspector Colin Shaw has appealed for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have captured either of the cars being driven in the area on dash-cam to contact officers in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference number 597 09/08/19. The road has now re-opened.
