By Claire Williamson

A man has been airlifted to hospital by police helicopter following a two-vehicle crash in Greyabbey.

Police said he is understood to be the driver of one of the cars involved in the crash on the Cardy Road.

The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his twenties, was also treated by paramedics for injuries which, at this time, are thought to be relatively minor.

The Cardy Road is expected to remain closed for several hours.

The age of the hospitalised man is not yet known.
