A man and a woman have been arrested.

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences after police discovered suspected munitions and a quantity of ammunition.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested following a search operation at an address on Caldytown Road, Glarryford, Co Antrim on Friday evening.

The suspected munitions and ammunition were taken away for forensic examination.

Police later arrested a 33-year-old man after police stopped a car on the Westlink in Belfast as part of a follow-up operation.

The pair have been taken to the PSNI's Serious Crime Suite where they will be questioned under Terrorism legislation.
