Man and woman charged after police seize £10k of heroin after stopping car in Poyntzpass
A man and woman have been charged with a number of drugs offences following the seizure of an estimated £10k of heroin in Poyntzpass.
Police stopped a car on the Church Street area on Tuesday afternoon.
A 49-year-old man has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and importation of a class A controlled drug.
He has been remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 28 2016.
A 40-year-old female has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and importation of a class A controlled drug.
She has been released on police bail and is scheduled to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 28 2016.
