Man arrested after £10,000 worth of cannabis plants discovered in east Belfast

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after £10,000 worth of cannabis was found at a property in east Belfast during a police search.

The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possession of firearms and possession of fireworks after a search of properties in the Pilot Street area of the city on Thursday February 15.

Cannabis plants with an estimated value of £10,000, a quantity of fireworks and a number of suspected imitation firearms were recovered during the searches.

The suspect was interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.
