Man arrested after another man is 'bottled' in suspected burglary

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after an incident where a man was struck in the face with a bottle in a Dunmurry flat, police in Lisburn have reported.

A male occupant in his 20s  was assaulted by a man who injured him in a flat at Broom Park Heights around 1.30am on Sunday morning.

Police say that he is being treated in hospital for his facial injuries.

The 29-year-old man remains in custody following arrest on suspicion of aggravated burglary and grievous bodily harm.

Detective Sergeant James Johnston has appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and has any information which may be of assistance to police to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101.
