Man arrested after tractor driven into Feeny home

By Cate McCurry

A 63-year-old man has been arrested after serious damage was caused to a house when a tractor was driven into a gable wall.

The house in the Cherry Lane area of Feeny in Co Londonderry was unoccupied on Sunday night when the attack took place.

Significant damage was caused to both the exterior and interior of the house by the tractor, which police say was stolen from a nearby building site.

The tractor was later abandoned along the Glenshane Road outside the village.

The PSNI said the man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft and criminal damage in relation to the incident.

He is currently in custody assisting police with enquiries.
