Man arrested for attack on Co Antrim Catholic church released

A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with an attack on a Catholic church in Ballyclare has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A number of paint bombs were thrown at Sacred Heart Church on the Doagh Road on Sunday.

The man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage on Monday morning.

A 35-year-old woman has been cautioned for assisting an offender as part of the police investigation.
