Man arrested in Belfast on suspicion of conspiracy to import and supply cannabis
A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import and supply cannabis.
Officers from the PSNI Reactive and Organised Crime Branch made the arrest on Thursday in the Donegall Road area of Belfast.
The arrest follows the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of £200,000 by Spanish authorities working with the PSNI and National Crime Agency (NCA).
Detective Andy Dunlop said: "I would appeal to anyone involved in the supply of cannabis to consider the consequences. Anyone involved in trafficking any type of controlled drug can expect to face a lengthy period in prison upon conviction."
