Man arrested in connection with Bangor pensioner death
Serious Crime Branch detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 63-year-old Ronald Reid in Bangor have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of manslaughter.
Mr Reid was found in his apartment on the Donaghadee Road on Christmas Eve.
His death was initially not treated as suspicious but police issued two appeals for information afterwards on Mr Reid's activities shortly before he died as a post mortem revealed unexplained physical injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said: “The suspect was arrested in the Downpatrick area this morning and is being questioned at Bangor police station.”
