Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after woman stabbed in south Belfast

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a house in south Belfast.

The incident happened at a house on Balfour Avenue in the early hours of Sunday October 15.

Officers attended the scene at around 12.45am, and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.

A woman, aged in her 20s, was taken for treatment but has since been released from hospital.

The man remains in custody at this time.
