A 27-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating a number of incidents in south Belfast this week.

Police say the man was detained on Saturday on suspicion of a number of offences, including two counts of robbery and one count aggravated burglary.

The charges relate to reports of robberies at shops on the Ormeau Road on Tuesday and Friday and a report of an aggravated burglary on Dehli Street, also on Friday.

The man remains in custody assisting police with enquiries.

Detective Sergeant O’ Flaherty said: "Anyone with any information about these incidents or who may be able to help with our investigation, is asked to call us on the non-emergency number 101, or submit a report online
