Man 'bottled' in Belfast city centre attack

A man has suffered a cut to his neck after he was hit with a bottle during a late night assault in south Belfast.

The attack happened at around 2am in the University Street/ Dudley Street on Sunday morning.

The victim was set upon by a man armed with a bottle.

He was treated in hospital for injuries to his neck.

His attacker is said to be in his 20s with fair hair and wearing a blue top.

Police have appealed for information.
