Man charged after Londonderry stabbing

A man is due to appear in court following an attack in Londonderry.

The 51-year-old suspect was charged with a number of offences, including wounding with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an article with a blade or point in a public place.

“He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 16th July 2022,” A PSNI spokesperson confirmed.

“As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”

It follows reports of a stabbing in the Waterside area on Thursday, July 14.
