Man charged after man has part of ear bitten off during assault in Omagh

A 33-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a 48-year-old man had part of his ear bitten off during an assault in Omagh.

At around 8pm on Saturday an altercation took place in the Bridge Street area of the town.

The suspect is due to appear at Omagh Magistrates Court on Monday.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson appealed for anyone who witnessed the altercation or who has any information which could assist officers with their enquiries to contact detectives in Omagh on 101 quoting reference 1326 20/04/19.
