A 33-year-old man has been charged after a series of raids by police investigating the west Belfast UDA.

The PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force carried out the operation against the criminal activities of the group in the Bangor and Newtownards areas on Monday.

The man has been charged with membership of a proscribed organisation, being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs, possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and possession of Class A and B drugs.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
